Rescue story
WEACT received a shocking report about a dog struggling to walk with a massive tumor hanging from her body. When the team arrived, they found that the heavy tumor dragged along the ground whenever she moved, leaving wounds and making even the simplest movements painful. Eating, walking, and even relieving herself had become incredibly difficult. But that was not the only heartbreaking scene. In the deepest corner of the backyard, hidden beneath a tree where barely any light reached, there was a wooden crate. Inside were several terrified puppies, only about six months old, trembling together in their own waste. They clung to one another, frightened and helpless. WEACT rescued every dog on the property that day, eight lives in total, including the puppies and the dog with the large tumor.
Personality
Meet Chloe, a girl full of bright and positive energy! Her days as a devoted mother are now behind her. After spending so long protecting and caring for her puppies, Chloe is now protected and loved. With her gentle and easygoing nature, Chloe quickly opens her heart to new people and adapts naturally to unfamiliar environments. She has a wonderful way of bringing positive energy into every interaction. Being around her simply makes you smile, and her warm presence seems to spread happiness to everyone nearby! And she’s incredibly affectionate, too! It’s almost as if she’s saying, “Look at me! I’m right here!” Turn around, and you’ll often see her happily following behind with the sweetest smile on her face. One look at Chloe’s cheerful little face and it’s impossible not to fall completely in love!
With humans
Chloe is incredibly affectionate and people-friendly. She quickly opens her heart even to people she has just met, sweetly asking for attention and pets. With her charming and loving personality, it’s almost impossible not to fall in love with her once you experience her gentle affection.
With dogs
Chloe gets along well with other dogs. She may be a little shy and awkward at first when meeting a new dog, but only for a moment. Soon enough, she becomes the best of friends, happily running and playing together. Chloe really enjoys sharing joyful moments with her fur companions.

Needs help with
Chloe prefers the outdoor potty, but with the indoor potty, she has about 70% success rate. Despite her lack of opportunities to go outside due to her heartworm treatment, she has been doing great with leash walk practices. She is a curious girl who likes to explore on her walks and knows how to match the walking pace. With consistent daily guidance, she will continue to improve
Health specifics
Chloe is overall healthy! She tested positive for heartworm upon rescue, but has completed her treatment for it
Ideal family
Chloe is finally ready to leave the responsibilities of motherhood behind and become the beloved youngest member of a family who will shower her with love. A family that can spend meaningful time together, sharing affection and everyday moments, would be perfect for her. Chloe will return that love many times over with her warm and devoted heart. Housing type or whether there is another dog in the home is not the most important thing for Chloe. What truly matters is a family that will give her genuine love and allow her to feel safe and happy, finally. Chloe finds deep comfort in gentle touch, kind attention, and emotional connection. She is now waiting for a family who will become her safe place and lifelong home.
