Rescue story

A dog with all its eyeballs out, a dog with a blackened body, a dog with rotting genitalia. We struggle to find the words to describe this horrific scene. Like hamsters in a wheel, the dogs plead for help. There is every dog that has once been a trend to have. Once popular dogs are dying in the corner and currently popular breeds are crying with their entire bodies to save them. This is a place where animals have been illegally abused and bred for 25 years. From this hell, WEACT rescued #weact_nox.

Personality

With confidently perked ears and deep amber eyes that draw you in, Nox enjoys playing with his furiends but also knows how to appreciate quiet moments. He relaxes in his own space, savoring some peace.

With humans

As a dog who enjoys his peace and quiet, he can be startled and flustered by sudden movements or unexpected touches. To approach him, it’s important to greet him first and approach slowly with care. Once he feels comfortable, he will happily accept cuddles and grooming.

With dogs

Nox does vey good in social settings. He gets along well with most of his furiends and enjoys spending time with them. However, during his rest time, he values having his own quiet time to himself.

Energy level

While he’s not very high-energy, he still needs at least one daily walk to relieve stress and continue his socialization through positive stimulation.

Needs help with

When it comes to bathroom habits, his accuracy on the pads isn’t perfect, but he knows how to distinguish between his eating area, resting area, and bathroom space. With some training at home, he is likely to catch on quickly. He can get a bit excited when he first goes out for a walk, but overall, he walks quite well.

Health specifics

He tends to be a bit slow to react, so sudden movements or touches may startle him. When approaching him, it’s important to give a signal first and then approach slowly. With his long legs, he has strong jumping ability and can easily leap over a height of about 1 meter, so you’ll need to be mindful of facilities and safety to prevent any accidents.

Ideal family

Since he tends to be startled by sudden big movements, he may not be the best fit for a household with very young family members who may struggle to be cautious. It would be ideal for him to join a family that respects his need for quiet space and time. Nox needs understanding and patience, approaching him slowly. He gets along well with other dogs, but he seems to be more comfortable in a calm home environment, rather than with many active dogs. Today, Nox is dreaming of the day he can enjoy a peaceful, restful life with a loving family in a cozy home. He is waiting for the family who will make his dream come true.
